Nursery Room LeaderMagisters Education have partnered with a Nursery in Beckenham, Bromley. They are seeking a new Nursery Room Leader.About the role:We are a home away from home located in Bromley, with an excellent local reputation and we work hard to maintain our standards. That means we are professional with high standards which we find good staff prefer, rather than working for a more slap dashoperation that wants less from you and focuses less on their level of care for their children. We know this by the number of staff that have left over the years, for various reasons, yet want to come back to us later having been disappointed with jobs elsewhere.So we must be doing something right.We try to provide good staff facilities and working conditions and you will find the Owners and Managers always on the premises with an open door to you.There is regular training given and we support, encourage, and facilitate your continued professional development. All our staff are first aid qualified, the training for which we supply. All our Senior Staff and Managers have been promoted from within andwhilst we dont rule out hiring from outside, that would be very much an exception. Many of our staff have worked for us for many years, some developing a career, some happier to stay within the room, so whatever you are looking for, we can probably satisfyyou.RequirementsFirst of all, we hope you will be happy, excited and stimulated coming to work. Naturally, as a Room Leader, you will have at least an NVQ 3 or equivalent, some experience supervising and a thorough working knowledge of the EYFS. If English is not your firstlanguage (and even if it is) we will want you to have a good grasp of the written and spoken language in order to communicate well with children, parents and staff as well as be able to write adequate observations and reports etc. Whats more important, wewill be looking for a genuine caring attitude from people with a desire to work with children who enjoy their interaction. As Room Leader, you will need to be a team player, whilst able to lead by example and get the best out of your team. You will be ableto give and take direction, yet also able to be self motivated and work on your own initiative and contribute to the planning.
