Job Description

An ‘Outstanding’ school in Bromley is seeking a Teacher of History to join them from September for a maternity cover position. This is a great opportunity join a dedicated team of teachers and staff supporting the school’s excellent students. The schoolis widely recognised as one of the best schools in South-East London and is housed in state-of-the-art facilities. It has also been oversubscribed for the last three years.Position: Teacher of HistoryLocation: BromleySalary: MPS (Outer London) £36, 014 to £47, 501The Role:

  • Strong knowledge of the History curriculum from key stages 3 to 5.
  • Organised and professional manner.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the History department and throughout the school.
  • As a Teacher of History, you have the ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them to progress.
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive History lessons.
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching History at secondary level.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
  • As a Teacher of History, you must have excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young learners.
