Job Description

Clark James Insurance Recruitment in Kent would love to hear from individuals with recent Compliance experience within the FCA regulatedInsurance industry. This is a brand-new role with an exciting company who are an industry leader providing bespoke niche Insurance products across the UK and aroundthe globe. They are a thoroughly modern forward thinking business with a fantastic culture resulting in enviable staff retention.The Compliance Officer will be responsible for identifying and assessing risk and compliance issues including making recommendations and providing support relating to all aspects of the companys compliance monitoring and implementation.Key Duties

  • Assisting the Groups CFO in the review and enhancement of internal control processes and procedures
  • Liaising with Regulators and Governing bodies along with Insurer and Reinsurer partners
  • Building positive relationships with clients, brokers and other professionals
  • Assist with the compliance monitoring work and oversee strategy and Conduct Risk framework and associated policies and procedures
  • Keeping abreast on the latest Compliance laws and FCA regulations including GDPR and assessing the potential impact of any changes
  • Monitoring and providing compliance guidance to online producers and affiliates
Key Attributes
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role within the Insurance industry, ideally for a broker or MGA
  • Knowledge of rules and requirements of the FCA and the Lloyds market
  • First class people skills allowing integration with the team and the felling of working together not against colleagues
  • A strong understanding of the Insurance industry is essential for this role
