Job Description

We provide inpatient care forover 5,000 people each year and we treat more than 45,000 patients in the community in Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham,and Croydon. As well as serving the communities of south London, we provide more than 50 specialist services for children and adults across the UK and beyond.What youll be responsible for:

  • Dealing with telephone enquiries and taking messages.
  • Scanning patient documents and filing them on system, shared drive.
  • Arranging stationary orders.
  • Walking around the ward, making sure everything is order.
  • Ordering groceries and putting them away.
  • Checking and making sure the wards are clean and keeping the office tidy.
  • Booking deep cleans.
  • This is quite a physical role so there will be lifting involved.
Youll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively always complete your role to the highest standard.
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.
Youll have the following skills/experience:
  • System knowledge - EPJS
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good standard of English language
  • Ward Housekeeping experience
  • Awareness of health and safety
  • Some light manual lifting of stationery supplies
  • Food hygiene awareness
  • Microsoft package knowledge - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
