We pride ourselves on being able to offer our customers the complete in-house solution - from design todelivery.The Role -Installation & Service Engineer:We are seeking a practical and methodically minded engineer who can provide comprehensive support during the latter commissioning phases of our projects through to their installation as well as providing ongoing support to our customers throughout the lifeof the equipment.The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and possess a broad range of skills, supported by recognised qualifications in electrical and/or mechanical engineering. Due to the nature of the position, the successful candidate must be willing to travel tocustomer locations within the UK and overseas.ResponsibilitiesInstallation and Service Engineer:The following list is an indication of the responsibilities of the role, which the post holder will be expected to undertake. The list is not exhaustive and is intended as guidance only.
  • Assist with the commissioning and testing of new equipment.
  • Operate equipment during internal customer trials and perform internal sign-off.
  • Participate in customer sign-off/FAT.
  • Perform disconnection/breakdown in readiness for (suitable method of) transport.
  • Coordinate any onsite specific services necessary to complete installation.
  • Determine all equipment required for installation is procured/available.
  • Installation of equipment at customer premises within the UK and overseas.
  • Power up and (re)commissioning of equipment onsite taking equipment through SAT process.
  • Undertake work necessary for the integration of PCE equipment into customers machinery/facility. This could include electrical, mechanical, pneumatic or software tasks.
  • Fault finding and repair of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform maintenance inspections and tasks at customer premises.
  • Provide exceptional levels of customer service.
  • Participate in internal design reviews on existing or potential projects.
RequirementsInstallation and Service Engineer:The following list is an indication of the skills that the successful candidate will possess, in fulfilment of the position.
  • Relevant vocational training, or completion of an apprenticeship, in an electrical and or mechanical discipline.
  • Proven electrical and mechanical experience within an industrial environment.
  • Ability to follow electrical and pneumatic schematic diagrams and drawings.
  • Programming experience of (Mitsubishi and Allen Bradley) PLCs/HMIs would be advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostics, test and repair of electronic/electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative from an outline brief.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
