We are looking for a Project Engineer with a strong background in engineering and project management to take on the responsibility of delivering complex projects within the offshore industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successin project delivery, cost control, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a self-motivated individual who is capable of leading a team and managing multiple aspects of project execution. Day-to-day of the role:

Take ownership of projects post-handover, ensuring successful final offshore installation, cost control, on-time delivery, and high customer satisfaction.
Deliver significant and complex work against a defined project plan within agreed timeframes.
Act as a line manager for staff, supporting their development and providing coaching.
Serve as the primary point of contact for complex and valuable projects, liaising with clients, third-party bodies, and internal departments.
Manage project schedules, identify critical path items, and ensure QA/QC elements are captured.
Mentor graduates and project engineers, developing their skills and competence.
Maintain accurate financial management systems for individual projects, highlighting forecast variations promptly.
Prepare project documentation and ensure all project “gates” are met.
Lead Project Kick-Off meetings and actively participate in Design reviews.
Present project progress to Directors and undertake HAZID and HAZOP meetings as necessary.
Manage project cash flow, supplier relationships, and provide technical guidance to Sales and Operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:.

HNC/ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Structural), Mathematics, or Physics with a minimum 2:2 classification.
5+ years of experience in a relevant role, including offshore operations.
Strong IT skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organization and accuracy.

Desirable:

8+years of experience in a similar role within the offshore industry.
Experience with offshore structures, drilling, and subsea equipment.
APM/Prince2/Six Sigma or similar project management qualification.
Mentoring qualification and experience.
Multilingual skills and commercial acumen.
