Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for an exciting new project Do you thrive under pressure and work effectively within a team Are you proficient in Sage Line 50 and enjoy the challenges producing VAT returns provides Then we have just the rolefor you!Office Angels Livingston are collaborating with one of our specialist clients in Bathgate for an experienced Bookkeeper to assist them for the duration of circa 4- 6 months. They are looking for someone who is comfortable working within a bust, pressurisedenvironment and who has the ability to think on their feet and act and react to the demands of the business as and when required. Being an incredible team player is a huge must for our client, they have a highly successful team so this person would have theopportunity to work alongside some highly credible individuals... The job details are below.Job Purpose: To efficiently manage all client financial records and effectively oversee all bookkeeping ensuring the bookkeeping team are supported internally and externally.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Record and prepare accounts for clients including processing invoices and expenses

  • Generating sales invoices
  • Preparing and submitting VAT partial exemption and standard VAT returns
  • Responsible for banking and reconciling reports
  • Setting up BACs payments on online banking platforms for clients and emailing remittance advice notes.
  • Reconciliation of ledgers to external system reports
  • General email and telephone queries
  • Supporting the finance team to ensure efficient bookkeeping services
  • Attend offsite client meetings
Skills / Knowledge and Qualifications:
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient in SAGE Line 50.
  • Experience of preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Proficient in all Microsoft packages
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Strong ability to work effectively in a team
  • Pro-activity to identify and creatively solve problems
  • Qualified to minimum of Higher level or equivalent including English and Maths
