Job Description

Company: Leading manufacturing companyJob Title: QHSE ManagerLocation: Barton Under NeedwoodSalary: £48-54K + 25 days holiday + benefitsHours: 7.30-4 Mon-Fri (option for 12.30pm finish on Friday and pro rata salary if preferred)This is a great opportunity for a QHSE Manager to join an established manufacturing company within the Burton on Trent area.Reporting to the Operations Director you will have responsibility for aspects of QHSE across the business.Main duties include:

  • Developing, implementing, improving, and maintaining agreed QHSE operating standards and Corporate expectations.
  • QHSE compliance and best practice within the business and our suppliers.
  • Take the lead in embedding a safety and quality focused mindset across the business.
  • Management and resolution of customer and supplier problems.
  • Provide business with QHSE guidance and advice.
  • Management of risk associated to change and driving our ContinuousImprovement agenda.
  • Reporting of KPIs
Skills and Experience:Essential
  • Experience in a similar QHSE role and excellent working knowledge ofQHSE legislation.
  • Experience of hands-on problem solving with standard techniques suchas PDCA, 8D or Six Sigma.
  • A process orientated, positive outlook, self-starter.
  • Strong communicator with good interpersonal skills with the ability toinfluence at all levels within the organisation.
  • Flexible approach to manage business priorities.
  • Ability to work independently to deliver under pressure with confidence.Desirable
  • A good working knowledge of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and otherssuch as IRIS, RISAS, RISQS
  • A background in complex manufacturing/engineering.
  • Rollingstock previous experience.
