Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Engineering Equipment SupportLocation: Bury St EdmundsSalary: £21,730 per annumHours: 37.5 per weekLength of the contract: 3 monthsGrafton Recruitment are now seeking to appoint Clinical Engineering Equipment Support to our Public Sector client based in Bury St Edmunds. The Clinical Engineering Equipment Support will be responsible for ordering and purchasing stock and consumables,as well as ensuring that adequate levels of supplies are maintained and distributed accordingly. The Clinical Engineering Equipment Support will also perform stock control of both medical devices and consumables.Duties of the Clinical Engineering Equipment Support

  • The post-holder will be required to assist and support with the preparation of serviceable devices and associated consumables for delivery to the wider organisation and to assist with the coordinating for collections of faulty devices and consumables.
  • To participate in departmental projects as required.
  • Operate electronic systems appropriately in relation to medical device records and consumables and to ensure that computerised records for the medical devices are maintained and updated in an accurate and timely manner for audit purposes.
  • To be responsible for ordering and purchasing of devices and consumables, as well as ensuring that adequate levels of supplies are maintained and distributed accordingly.
  • To be responsible for stock control of both medical devises and consumables.
  • To work closely with the Medical Devices Team to assist with scheduled and unscheduled work across the region to order to provide for sufficient equipment to meet operational needs of services.
  • To work collaboratively to develop and undertake audits, travelling across the organisation, in order to continually improve the effective and efficient use of medical devices.
  • To assist with the production of any guideline documents and protocols required within the department.
Role Criteria
  • GCSE English or equivalent.
  • Administrative experience and skills.
  • Stock control experience.
  • Driving licence.
