Summary We are seeking an individual with a passion for fundraising and a passion for our cause to protect and care for places so people and nature can thrive.You will have a strong skill set in securing funding from a range of sources including grants (regional, national and international), charitable trusts and major donors. You’ll bring specialist knowledge and experience of sourcing and securing grant funding to enable us to deliver our ambitious plans for our places across Northern Ireland. You’ll also have a gift for inspiring your colleagues to ‘think like fundraisers’ to unlock enthusiasm, networks and innovative opportunities for fundraising. What its like to work here You’ll be based at our regional hub at Rowallane Garden, Saintfield, Co. Down, although your role will provide advice, expertise and support for our teams in our places across Northern Ireland. You’ll also link in with a network of fundraising specialists based in our central office and throughout England and Wales. What youll be doing As part of the Northern Ireland Regional Consultancy team, this role will report directly to the Consultancy Manager for Support & Revenue. The Support & Revenue team has a collective priority to grow support for our work as a conservation charity and increase revenue to enable us to look after the special places in our care. Disciplines include commercial development, membership, tourism and fundraising. As Fundraising Consultant, you will lead the development of our long term regional fundraising strategy. Key areas of focus will include growing large gits, promoting gifts in wills and making it easy for people to give or fundraise on our behalf. You’ll thrive on innovation, opportunity-spotting and creativity, and you’ll be able to turn ideas into action on the ground. Who were looking for We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual with a strong understanding of fundraising. In summary, this role requires:· High levels of strategic thinking· A sound knowledge of fundraising across a wide range of income streams· Knowledge and experience of fundraising practices, and an up to date understanding of the external fundraising environment· Proven ability to build relationships at a senior level (including Trustees, Boards, Management Teams)· Influencing, facilitation and coaching skills· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal· Experience of stakeholder and community engagement The package Benefits for working at the National Trust:
