We are searching for an experienced Payroll Assistant to work in our payroll bureau within a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants looking after over 300 payrolls along with two other members of staff.Working under the guidance of the partners, the Payroll Assistant will be responsible for processing payrolls and any relevant statutory deductions, liaising with clients and resolving queries, processing starts and leavers, RTI submissions, pension deductions and BACS payments. The payrolls are weekly, fortnightly and monthly from standard hours to processing from timesheets and keeping a track of holidays. Part of the role is to set up new PAYE schemes with HMRC when requested and ensure that they are set up on our system and agent authorisation from HMRC received. This is a very busy department within our firm.You must have excellent attention to detail, be confident in liaising with clients and colleagues, be accurate and efficient. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems and Sage Payroll would be an advantage.Previous payroll experience is essential. Required skills
