Job Description

Shipping & Logistics Coordinator with a working knowledge of import and export shipments is needed by this leading manufacturer of remote and robotic dolly technology.They are creating new and innovative ways to move cameras in film, TV and VR. Their growing team consists of engineers, camera operators and technology lovers.They are seeking the right person to join their team in the new position of Shipping and Logistics Coordinator. You will be reporting to their Operations Manager; facilitating all international air, sea and road shipments, as well as administrative support duties. You will be responsible for the full import/export process from point of booking to point of delivery.Main responsibilities include:

  • Handling shipping documentation and bookings, including creation of packing lists, commercial invoices, MSDS, certificates of origin etc.
  • Dealing with all export documentation for sales (familiarity with incoterms and HS codes required).
  • Staying ahead of current and changing battery packing requirements.
  • Managing temporary import/exports for return/repair/loan and ensuring correct procedures are followed; including simplified IP authorisations.
  • Maintaining a relationship with current and new shipping providers and obtaining multiple quotes to ensure best value and service is met.
  • Sales administration responsibilities to include, liaising with customers on shipping requirements, sending dispatch confirmation and tracking, logging all relevant information in internal systems.
  • Providing administrative support for our Operations Manager which may involve:
  • Procurement
  • Raising Purchase Orders
  • Processing delivery notes through stock management systems and marking against POs
  • Following up final invoices after delivery.
  • Required Skills:A working knowledge of import and export shipments in a commercial environment is required (whether a manufacturer, shipper or freight forwarder) - some training can be provided.About You:The right candidate will be confident, reliable and extremely organised, willing to work in a creative and fast-paced environment and have a positive can do attitude.The part-time role is based from their offices in Yate, Bristol, Hours flexible to suit the right candidate, but suggested as Mon - Fri: 09:30 - 14:30Please click APPLY if you are interested.IND123
