Job Description

Electronic Production Technician is needed by this leading manufacturer of remote and robotic dolly technology due to expansion.They are creating new and innovative ways to move cameras in film, TV and VR. Their growing team consists of engineers, camera operators and technology lovers.You will work closely with existing team members in delivering cable and PCB assemblies for fitting within finished products to customers.The ideal candidate will need to be able to demonstrate a high degree of confidence in building wiring assemblies, from simple individual wires to more complex wiring looms. You will also be confident in the handling of pre-assembled PCBs and Electrostatic Sensitive Devices.Alongside the core assembly tasks, the candidate will also be motivated to facilitate the engineering team on design and development of wiring for products and able to assist with authoring of assembly documentation, and to interact with MRP database systems for stock control.Responsibility:

  • Make cable and wiring connections accurately.
  • Install and assemble electronic systems based on technical specifications.
  • Maintain documentations of system installation and maintenance procedures.
  • Perform system testing to evaluate performance and functionality.
  • Repair and maintain electronic systems as needed.
  • Recommend upgrades and modifications to improve system performance.
  • Coordinate with engineers to determine deadlines for the assigned tasks.
  • Understand drawings, technical manuals and instructions to perform installation activities.
  • Quality inspection.
  • Key skills:
  • Experience of electro / mechanical assembly / disassembly
  • Competent in hand soldering and PCB rework.
  • Familiarity with wiring and mechanical diagrams.
  • Familiarity with Surface Mount and Leaded Components
  • Knowledge of ESD Devices and safety
  • Literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Can follow instructions carefully.
  • Enquiring mind and good attention to detail.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • This is a full-time permanent role, 8hrs per day, working from their offices in Yate, Bristol. Salary for this role £20,000 to £25,000 per year depending on experience.If you are interested please click APPLY for consideration.IND123
