Job Description

Receptionist/Legal Assistant- AylshamA Solicitors practice with a first rate reputation throughout Norfolk are looking to recruit an assistant to their team.The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the reception at the firms Aylsham office as well as providing administrative support to the dispute resolution team in the office.Duties relating to the receptionist side of the role may include things such as:-

  • Dealing accordingly with incoming telephone calls into the office
  • Greeting visitors into the office, providing a friendly and professional service, setting up rooms for meetings and providing visitor refreshments.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post
  • Scanning documents
  • Filing
  • In addition to the above the successful candidate will also be providing administrative support to the dispute resolution team and duties on that side of things may include things such as:-
  • Opening and closing files ensuring all relevant documentation is sent and received.
  • Ensuring all key dates are inputted correctly into IT systems
  • Copy typing and production of documents
  • Typing attendance notes and witness statements
  • Diary Management
  • Helping to prepare court bundles
  • Following up on things and clarifying information on the phone as directed.
  • The successful candidate will ideally be able to demonstrate some experience of working in the area of dispute resolution as a legal secretary or assistant and will also ideally have a background of working in reception type roles. It is essential that you are friendly and personable and an excellent communicator to fit into the existing team and provide a high level of service to the firms clients.This is a company that truly looks after its staff.
