Job Description

We are seeking Full & Part-Time Paid Care Companions & Befrienders in Alysham and surrounding areas of Norfolk. This job involves visiting vulnerable adults in the community, so you must hold a full driving licence and access a reliable vehicle.£300.00 joining bonus.Are you retired/ semi-retired and looking for a volunteer job in your community If so, we have some lovely clients who need a little extra help and support so they can continue living in their own homes, with the memories that they hold most dear to them.This job is extremely rewarding, and you would make a difference to older adults living in the Aylsham areas.We are now in the Autumn months and winter will soon be here with dark mornings, dark evenings, strong winds, and rain. During the next few months, our clients may not want to leave their homes and may feel anxious, frightened, and lonely. Weneed your help to brighten their day with a smile and friendly voice. Pay Rates, Benefits & Hours

  • £11.50 (rising to £12.50 in Jan 2022)-£17.25 per hour + holiday pay.
  • Paid Travel and waiting time.
  • Holiday pay.
  • £300.00 joining bonus.
  • Free DBS.
  • We need people who can commit to regular hours that include either early morning, early evenings, and a few hours on alternate weekends.
  • You will have your own set of clients so you can build up a relationship with your client.
  • Minimum of 1-hour visits so you will never feel rushed.
  • £250 Refer a friend scheme.

Are you someone who is empathetic with a caring nature and can build an excellent professional relationship with older adults in your local community If so, we would like to become one of our Paid Care Companions & Befrienders. You will be part of a teamsupporting clients with various tasks in their homes and the community.Some clients like to use their visits to have support when they go shopping, go to the hairdressers, or even go on an outing and have a light lunch, and generally build their confidence to mix with others in the community.Others might require help to get out of bed in the morning, bathe, and get ready for the day ahead and reminders to take their medication and have some help with light housework, gardening, and laundry.As a Paid Care Companion & Befriender, you must demonstrate excellent timekeeping and be organised, reliable, compassionate, a good listener, and always treat the clients with dignity and respect. You must be able to adapt to change quickly and make decisionsat short notice.We are advertising this position on behalf of a fantastic family-run care provider in the top 3% of providers who have been awarded "Outstanding" in their latest CQC inspection. They provide personalised relationship-led care and companionship service to mainly older vulnerable adults in their own homes. They understand that everyone is different, so they offer care packagestailored to an individuals needs.
