Are you currently working in Practice and seeking an alternative career route Or perhaps you are in industry but open to Practice but just dislike the aspect of timesheetsReed Practice East Anglia have an interesting and unique role within a rapidly expanding accountancy firm in Norfolk that will fully utilise all your accounting expertise not just in a technical capacity but also advisory.The post of Head of Accounting is that of high regard within the firm, created to aid in their transformation as they grow.With an immediate reporting line to the Directors your role will be to review current processes across all sites, making recommendations and implementing improvements where necessary to reflect regulatory changes.Tasks in this area will include: Review teams work and provide constructive feedback on errors. Identify training gaps. Partner with the technical advisory team to upskill team members and improve the value and quality of the firms service. Retain complete ownership for department processes as sponsor and drive the ambition of efficiency without sacrificing quality. Design and implement processes to ensure that data integrity is maintained. Deal with any issues raised by clients and monitor them through to resolution. Agree, monitor and drive clear team KPIs and SLAs to drive the business strategy and vision. Ensure system usage is optimised to drive efficiencies and controls, ensuring all team members are trained in line with internal processes. Lead, support and develop your team to ensure the continued high level of service to clients, including identifying training needs, regular reviews, appraisals, encouraging an open and encouraging environment.To be successful in this role, you will hold an accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with either immediate or previous experience within a UK accountancy firm being technically astute with all the latest regulations.The firm is exceptionally unique in that they do not work to timesheets therefore we welcome applications from those currently in industry who hold the required experience.You will have an analytical mindset, with a drive to improve, possess excellent business partnering skills, and will be solutions focused.The firm can offer an attractive salary and offer an extremely generous flexible working scheme.
