Job Title: Apprentice Heavy Vehicle MechanicLocation:Serco Depot, North NorfolkNR116SUWorking Week: 40 hours per week, MondayFriday shifts between 6:0018:00Salary:Up to £15000 per annum plus benefits & 25 days annual leaveApprenticeship Qualification:Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician Level 3Expected Apprenticeship Duration:36 months plus (depending on end point assessment)Looking to kickstart your career as a Heavy Vehicle MechanicWe, at Serco, are looking to recruit a heavy vehicle mechanic apprentice to support with repairing, maintaining, inspecting all Serco commercial vehicles within the fleet maintenance facilities. As part of the role, you will be responsible for completing diagnostic tests using manual tools and technologicaldevices, working with clients and co-workers to establish a timeframe for the completion of each inspection or repair in accordance with KPIs. The key duties include supporting with performing maintenance inspections and repairs on all vehicles presentedwith guidance. You will keep the workshop clean and to standard while highlighting to contract management staff all vehicle defects, identifying faults and repairing as needed.Other key duties will include undertaking any other ad hoc duties while providing high standards of courteous interaction with all individuals, including visitors and Serco colleagues.As you gain more experience, your role will become more challengingand varied with more autonomy to take on tasks through your apprenticeship training provider.
