Process Engineer (Metallurgy) Birmingham£40,000 to £46,000 DOE + Holidays + Bank Holidays + Pension +Career Progression Opportunities + Training and Development OpportunitiesAre you currently a PROCESS ENGINEER with a strong metallurgical background or a METTALURGIST with a strong process background New role available for an applicant who seeks the opportunity to join a well established, global manufacturerwho offers a varied role with a high level of autonomy.This is a fantastic prospect for process engineers or metallurgists who enjoy learning new systems and processes within a company who are willing to offer ongoing support with your development. They are true experts within their field.The role would suit process engineers, technical engineers or metallurgists transferring from a manufacturing or engineering discipline. Applicants with any previous exposure or experience working within a metals or heavy engineering backgroundand encouraged to apply. Engineers who have experience with LEAN manufacturing techniques will have a considerable advantage.The processes within this organisation are unique to the company and initially you will be supported in your role to learn and understand the workings within the manufacturing facility. In time, you will take the lead on the monitoring and analysis of machineperformance to optimise performance and reduce waste/scrap and reduce costs. You will introduce streamlining processes across the foundry through all manufacturing stages. You will contribute to machine upgrades and modifications of cycles and evaluate/reporton the impact on machine performance. As part of your role, it will be your responsibility to maintain and update all process related documentation. Within this role you will work closely with the quality department to resolve any internal or customer relatedissues.This is a fantastic opportunity to obtain a varied role within an organisation who truly invest in their employees.
