Metallurgy Lab TechAston, BirminghamCirca £32,000 + Holidays + Bank Holidays + Pension + Benefits3 Week Rotating Shift 06:00 to 14:00, 09:00 to 17:00, 14:00 to 22:00 and 22:00 to 06:00ARE YOU A LAB TECHNICIAN FROM A METAL TESTING OR HEAVY MANUFACTURING BACKGROUNDShift Laboratory Technician required for a well-established and well renowned manufacturer who supply to a range of industries and supply their products on a global scale. They offer a varied role within a great team environment.To apply for the role, you must have previous experience as a laboratory technician within a manufacturing environment. Applicants applying from heavier industries will have a considerable advantage.Reporting to the Senior Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for verifying mechanical and chemical properties of products according to customer specification. This will involve; hardness testing, tensile testing, grain size determination and spectrographicchemical analysis. You will then be responsible for generating certificates of conformity. As part of your role, you will carry out basic routine maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment as well as regular solution checks on apparatus.
