Job Description

Packaging and Manufacturing Manager (Pharmaceuticals)HaltonI am currently working with a well-established SME business who develop, manufacture and supply Pharmaceutical products, based in Halton who are looking for a Packaging and Manufacturing Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.This is a new role which entails the leadership and development of the Packaging and Manufacturing department.Key focus areas:The effective and successful management of labour, productivity, quality control, and safety measures as established and set.Ensuring all departmental activities are performed in compliance with regulatory guidance according to the principles of GMGrow the efficiency of existing organisational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organisations internal capacity.Responsibilities:

  • Maximising commercial customer satisfaction, OTIF in compliance with quality and EHS standards
  • Monitor and report team performance to targets
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment
  • Ensure timely completion of relevant deviation and complaint investigations
  • Coordinate the timely closure of batch documentation
  • Ensure GMP equipment and facilities are qualified, calibrated and maintained in compliance to approved procedures.
  • Labour allocation and organisation
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement programmes
Requirements:
  • Significant Leadership experience and supervisory management in a production organisation
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical, FMCG or other regulated production operation.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulatory requirements with knowledge of FDA guidance, ICH guidelines, EUGMP and GAMP
  • Ability to work consistently and compliantly, following standard operating procedures and quality policies.
  • Good technical knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing techniques and procedures
  • Lean manufacturing and/or Lean Six-Sigma training and experience is highly desirable
  • A science or engineering degree qualification is desirable
