The company has experienced significant growth over the last three years and is looking forward to further growth in the years ahead.About the positionOur Sales Ledger/Finance Assistant role will be based in our administration head office in Ashton in Makerfield, near Wigan as part of a small finance team. The role is primarily covering all aspects of sales ledger however the successful applicant willalso be involved in supporting the wider finance function.We are keen to talk to people who have previous experience in working in a finance accounts environment who have a "can do" attitude and enjoy working as part of a team.Hours of work Monday - Friday 8.00 -16.30 or alternatively 8.30 -17.00Free parking on siteRemote or hybrid working is not available.What you will be doingCategorisation of delivery notes from all depotsPosting delivery notes onto accounting system and generating sales invoicesIssuing invoices to customers via email/EDI portals/post dailyAllocation of customer paymentsGenerating of Sales Ledger StatementsDealing with customer and branch queriesFiling and archiving of paperworkLiaising with credit controllerPosting of petty cash expenditure for all depotsAnswering telephone as requiredAssisting Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects including support development of internal IT systemsAdvantageous experience and skillsConfidence with accounting systems -ERPAbility to work as part of a small closely knit team.IT skills Microsoft Office - Excel (intermediate level) , Word, OutlookRequired skills
