A homeware business has created a new role in their supply chain team for an Assistant Merchandiser£Depending On Experience + Hybrid Working + Quick Career ProgressionThe CompanyA homeware business has created a new role in their supply chain team for an Assistant Merchandiser. Their officesare commutable from Blackburn / Bolton / Burnley / Bury / Leigh / Ormskirk / Preston / Southport / St Helens / Warrington / West Manchester / Wigan and surrounding areas.The Role

  • Raising and placing orders with both UK & overseas suppliers
  • Maintaining stock levels,
  • Managing delivery and shipment deadlines, working with suppliers in the UK, EU, and FE identifying risk to ensure accurate intake of stock according to plan levels
  • Keeping systems updated to maintain accurate production & shipping timeframes
  • Managing the sample portfolios inc. approvals
  • Ensuring critical path is maintained, highlighting possible delays
  • Liaising with factories, shipping providers & booking goods onto vessels
  • Planning container loads
  • Arranging direct delivery to specific clients
  • Collating import documentation to allow customs authorisation
About YouTo be successful in this role you will need some demonstrable experience in a Merchandiser / Allocator / Import Merchandiser / Stock Management role within a supply, retail or import environment. Experience of working with suppliers in the Far East. Youwill also need good Excel skills, be highly accurate with a good attention to detail and have the ability to analyse data.
