Job Description

Due to continued expansion, an opportunity has arisen for aHead of Electrical and Mechanical Engineeringto join a large and very successful company involved in the production and supply of a diverse range of high quality sand and related products fora variety of sectors throughout the UK. Along with a salary of up to £55,000 per annum, you will also receive a company vehicle, bonus, and pension scheme.AsHead of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, some of the technical duties and experiences required for success include:

Operational management level experience within a mineral extraction / aggregate / processing / quarrying environment
Proven track record gained as an Engineering Manager/ General Manager/ Operations Manager/ Senior Production / Electrical Manager
Heavy engineering experience ideally gained within a quarrying or related industry
Capital project delivery and management experience
Technical specification development
Contractor management experience
Procurement experience - adept at establishing relationships with service partners
Preventative maintenance experience
Experienced at maintaining new & old plant/infrastructure within tight budgets
Electrical & mechanical engineering experience
Operational experience of cross functional teams covering different sites and business lines

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to possess a degree level qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering or a related discipline and be able to demonstrate proven success to date in leading a team which has overseen the full maintenanceand refit/refurbishment and capital expansion programmes, preferably but not exclusively within a quarrying/mining or similar business.This is an excellent opportunity to add real value to the companys resource over the coming years and assist in delivering their ambitious plans for future growth.
