Job Description

We are seeking 2 GIS Asset Data Analysts to join our successful, national gas distribution client in Ansty near Coventry. These are 12 Month FTC that would suit a Geography or Geology graduate or a candidate with spatial science/ GIS applications experience.This is an exciting time to join a company that is really making a difference through innovation and new ways of working and theyre looking for motivated people to help shape a clearner, greener future for their 11 million customers!Job specificationAs a GIS Asset Data Analyst, youll be working within a highly technical unique team, helping to remediate asset records and supporting the continual improvement of Asset Data Integrity. Using data analytic outputs to help shape the future and further developasset data into a strategic asset itself. Youll be a key player in helping to ensure asset data and the processes and systems supporting it are fit for purpose. You will be trained in the use GIS mapping software.* Performing visual assessments, comparing multiple datasets to identify areas of interest requiring further investigation* Ensuring asset records within are GIS and SAP applications are accurately recorded* Identifying suitable remediation activities whilst adhering to a structured change impact assessment process* Use of analysis and inference methods to inform recommended remediation activity approaches* Working to a high level of performance whilst maintaining quality and accuracy standardsAfter a successful 3 month period of training full time in the office, the role will become hybrid enabling you to work 1 or 2 days a week in the office.Person specificationWere looking for someone who possesses the following skills, knowledge and qualifications:* Working knowledge of SAP and GIS systems* Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office applications* Motivated to learn new skills and tools and be flexible to deal with change* Well organised, motivated, resourceful and able to demonstrate that you are passionate about continuous improvement, with the ability to work accurately within tight deadlines and on your own initiative* Enthusiastic nature questioning approach and a keen eye for detail and high quality* Good communication skills both verbal and written, alongside the ability to build strong working relationships within and outside the immediate team* Strategic thinker with technical skills in the support of data analysis* Ability to proactively identify issues within the process* Skilled in the use of GIS applications* Good numerical skills* Meticulous attention to detailBenefits * 25 days holiday plus 8 statutory bank holidays, with the option to buy and sell * Generous Pension Scheme which is double matched up to 12%* Opportunity to earn annual bonus* Private medical insurance available through our flexible benefits programme* Flex Benefits including; cycle to work scheme, salary sacrifice car scheme, insurances and healthcare packages* My Offers membership card - offering discounts and savings from hundreds of retailers* Access to our Occupational Health Services including an employee assistance programme which offers confidential counsellingDo you like the sound of this position If you have the experience and qualifications listed above then we want to talk to you.
