Job Description

Our client is an established boutique research & development firm and due to expansion is looking for an experienced R&D Financial Analyst who is also able to manage the team, working alongside another Team Manager.The position is a dual role so still hands on in the production of technical reports and the calculation of financial information aiding the submission of R&D tax claims as well as working alongside another Team Manager, supporting each other and the development, teaching and management of the teamRole and Responsibilities for the position of R&D Financial Analyst Team Manager

  • Genuine commitment and passion to develop in a growing industry, with the aim of helping SME’s and large clients to successfully claim potential R&D tax refund/credits
  • Managing, overseeing and motivation of a small but successful and focused team, developing their skills further and ensuring team targets and goals are achieved
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • To be a capable user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook;
  • A co-operative and flexible approach to working with others to meet agreed objectives and deadlines;
  • Proven self-management skills enabling the role holder to set and manage their own priorities;
  • Exposure to an accounting/finance environment and experienced in the R+D process from start to finish;
  • Have excellent communication skills as you will be supporting and working closely with clients and their accountants;
  • Be highly organised, ambitious with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn;
  • Liaise with the clients and/or their accountants to obtain information required to prepare R&D tax summaries;
  • Producing summary reports and presentations for clients;
  • Assisting colleagues from time to time in support of the efficient operation of the business.
