Are you a qualified teacher of Food and Textiles looking for a new role for September 2024Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a food and textiles teacher to join a secondary grammar school on Trafford.This is a full-time temporary supply teaching role from September 2024 to December 2024.The RoleTeacher of Food TechnologyFive days a weekExperience of the AQA GCSE Food technology and AQA GCSE Textiles is beneficial.Delivery of food technology, nutrition and health and catering with a focus on innovative practical lessonsPositive confident behaviour management skills for safe practical learning of cooking and food preparation.The academy are interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers, experienced QTS practitioners and further education catering specialists with experience of teaching Food to students aged 11 to 18.The SchoolOfsted Outstanding academy since 2011Excellent facilities for teaching and learning.Mixed selective grammar school for students aged 11 to 18"Leaders have created an exceedingly ambitious curriculum. They have thought meticulously about the knowledge that they want pupils and students to learn. The exceptional curriculum design, coupled with teachers expert curriculum delivery, means thatpupils and students build a rich body of knowledge across many subjects."To join us and be successful in this Food and Textiles Teacher role, you will need to:

  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS or equivalent Further education qualifications such as PGCE14+ or Certificate of Education
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work full time in the UK with no restrictions
