Our client an award-winning privately owned UK Manufacturing & Engineering company, is looking to support its current growth journey with the appointment of a Head of People. This will be a stand-alone role with key areas of responsibility as follows: -· Working with the board to shape the organisation structure to support the businesses growth targets.· Creating and driving an appropriate Talent Management strategy, focusing on attraction, development and retention to create high performance teams.· Leading Values Led Engagement’ initiatives by displaying and promoting these behaviours which are critical to their continued success, appropriately appraising engagement levels and focusing on improvements as the business continues to grow.· Auditing levels of training and capability to build the training matrix, developing L&D plans for all employees to ensure continued skill set development across the business.· Drive continuous learning initiatives with the desire to experiment with cutting edge research and implement new practices.· Utilising and developing the newly acquired HR Platform.· Collating monthly payroll for completion by the outsourced payroll company.To be successful in this role, candidates should have extensive experience and knowledge of HR, L&D and employee engagement activities ideally gained within an SME environment. You should be confident in working within a standalone HR role, ideally having done so before and be able to demonstrate a proven track record.
