Job Description

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, this role will add significant value to the development of systems and processes around reporting at Group Finance level as well as playing an active role in M&A and having significant involvement in a strategicforward-thinking finance function including month end reporting, tax and VAT compliance and the annual audit process.Client DetailsMy client are a PE backed business who are in their 2nd round of PE investment. With plans to triple in size through organic growth and acquisitions, this is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop and grow with the business.Description

  • Ownership of Technical Reporting - preparing annual statutory accounts (Group consolidated and individual entities)
  • Lead the annual audit and liaise with external auditors and advisors
  • Compliance with statutory Corporation Tax and VAT requirements
  • Reporting of results in Board pack, investors reporting system
  • Lead bi-annual Budget process for Group & P&L cost centres
  • Review of subsidiary balance sheet reconciliations and support with process improvements across the entities
  • Responsible for short term cash forecasting and influencing entities within the Group to ensure that cash conversion targets are achieved
  • Lead on acquisition accounting for future acquisitions, including any fair value adjustments required
  • Analysis on change in accounting standards/legislation e.g. transition to IFRS from FRS 102
Profile
  • ACA qualified candidate with circa 2 years post qualified experience
  • Either a Manager in Practice making their 1st move into Industry or a 2nd time mover
  • Technically strong with a good depth of understanding of consolidations and experience of financial reporting under FRS102 and IFRS
  • Experience of improving processes and control environments
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment
  • Experience of working in or with PE backed businesses is preferable
