Job Description

Job DescriptionResponsibilities

  • To ensure the completeness and integrity of client ledgers through the timely and accurate review of all accounting transactions
  • Where necessary input accounting transactions onto the relevant accounting system
  • Timely completion or review of annual financial statements for an allocated portfolio in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, FRS 102) and internal policies and procedures
  • Management of the audit process for client entities
  • Generate or review capital accounts for Limited Partners in accordance with applicable limited partnership agreement
  • Production or review of quarterly investor reporting in format agreed with client
  • Production or review of management accounts at frequency agreed with client (monthly, quarterly)
  • Production or review of net asset value (NAV") at frequency agreed with the client (monthly, quarterly)
  • Provide ongoing and active management of accounting matters to include escalation where required
  • Provide full support to clients where necessary on accounting matters
  • Provide full support to Client Administrators where necessary on accounting matters
  • Assist with the preparation of performance and management fees
  • Action specific outputs in connection with Closing Clients
  • Proactively contribute to the team objectives of achieving both individual and team targets on a daily basis with high performance against key performance indicators which are set towards contributing to achieving our overall business objectives.
Tasks
  • Assist and work collaboratively with the other Accountants, back office team and Management Team on day-to-day accounting tasks and matters in respect of their client portfolios
  • Provide timely responses to Fund Accounting queries and highlight any risk issues that arise
  • Display commitment to deliver excellent client service, operational effectiveness and efficiencies in all assigned tasks
  • Develop a working knowledge of the Companys policies and procedures in order that you can ensure that they are being followed and complied with and, in case of non-compliance, take responsibility to inform the relevant Manager or the Risk and ComplianceTeam in a timely manner
  • Proactively contribute to the team objectives of meeting key performance indicators and achieving objectives
  • Identify and develop technical knowledge and communication requirements to a level appropriate to the role
  • Invite feedback and continuously look to improve performance
  • Take ownership for maintaining Continual Professional Development as required for the role and/or for existing professional qualifications or regulatory requirements
  • Assist with project work as the business requires
  • Organisation of time (including working outside of usual business hours in exceptional circumstances) to ensure that client expectations are met

QualificationsRequired Experience
  • Holds a relevant accounting qualification
  • Preferably a good understanding of the Finance Industry
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Outlook and Word
