Job Description

AL509: Mechanical and Electrical SurveyorLocation: AldershotSalary: Up to £43,118(Salary range is dependent on location, skills and experience)Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an M&E Surveyor on behalf of one of our clients.To evaluate the condition of M&E installations on the garrison to inform the long-term lifecycle plan. To analyse performance trends and identify risk. To carry out root cause analysis in the event of failure.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with company Management System, QHSE policies and procedures.
  • Inspect assets on the Garrison and prepare survey and condition reports, identifying all improvement / rectification works required.
  • Carry out survey work across the estate in line with the PPM schedule.
  • Carry out ad hoc surveys as required.
  • Carry out room environmental conditions surveys.
  • Carry out room data sheet verification.
  • Carry out arsenisation and verification.
  • Interpret specialist building survey information.
  • Evaluate building and plant condition from a variety of sources of information, including customer feedback, PPM reports, help desk calls, BMS, energy reports, specialist survey reports and drone footage.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • NQF Level 4/5 in a relevant subject.
  • Recognised Technical Institute membership.
  • Carrying out M&E plant Condition surveys.
  • Building Regulations.
  • Works in accordance with Health and Safety requirements, believing that Zero Harm is achievable.
  • Demonstrates the Company Values.
  • Able to communicate clearly to inform others; uses appropriate, effective language to deliver messages.
  • Works effectively with others, maintaining constructive relationships within the team, across the business and externally.
