Job Description

Health & Safety Coordinator£25,000 - £30,000 DOE BeaconMonFri My client is offering an opportunity to move into management, 6% pension, 25 days holidays plus bank and voucher schemes such as cycle to work.A fantastic opportunity has come up for a health and safety coordinator to work with a packaging manufacturer who are in the specific to the corrugated industry. As a health and safety coordinator you will support the Health and Safety manager in all Healthand Safety issues throughout the factory. You will be responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, reporting and improving the health and safety management.Responsibilities Include:

  • Undertake risk assessments as required, while proactively following up on control measures until complete
  • Complete daily metrics and callouts
  • Monitor recordable incidents on-site
  • Become a subject matter expert in your specific level of competence, while staying vigilant and not disclosing any sensitive information outside of your particular level
  • Consistently monitor your Fulfilment Centre, keeping an eye on compliance.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses and any incidents, as you establish root cause
  • Update internal records regarding incidents, near misses and accidents
  • Undertake action plans to ensure continuing, sustained compliance with legislation
  • Conduct yourself professionally at all times: you maintain confidentiality in matters involving safety investigations
Essential
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Some form of Health & Safety background
  • You have a hands-on attitude, be flexible, adaptable and proactive
  • You aim to attain impeccable customer service and excellent customer facing skills,
  • You seek and respond well to feedback.
  • A-C in English and Maths
  • Must be ambitious and want to grow in health and safety.
