Job Description

Butler Rose is exclusively working with a very interesting and invaluable Aldershot-based public body Association who are looking for a Head of Finance to join the team on a permanent basis. This unique role will be responsible for the financial managementand reporting of all Public monies allocated to the Association.* Salary up to £33,000* Hybrid working (must be able to commute to the Aldershot office two-three times per week)* Generous benefits & holiday allowance* Rewarding business environmentIn this Head of Finance role, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation and submission of all financial returns including Budget Forecasts and Cash Flow
  • Control of the payment of all Invoices and expenditure across the Association
  • The control of letting of Association Estates, monitoring the sub-letting of property and ranges and accounting for all Regionally Generated Income
  • Supervision and control of the Associations payroll, the payment of bonuses and claims, the payment of taxes and insurances and the rendition of returns to the Inland Revenue
  • Management of all public money including preparation of final accounts for audit and submission
  • Control of investments and management of the daily cash flow
  • Leading a small team
To succeed in this Head of Finance role, you will ideally hold the AAT qualification or be working towards or hold a CIMA/ACCA qualification.You will have experience of preparing both financial and management accounts; knowledge of payroll; managing a small team and have at least 3 years relevant Finance experience.Ideally you will have worked within the public sector or for a SME in a hands-on role.
