Job Description

Morgan Hunt are recruiting for a Caretaker on a permanent basis to work for a college based in Aldershot.

  • To ensure that the College is locked and the alarms set and functioning properly at the end of each working day.
  • To carry out basic Security services including patrols, incident reports, lanyard ID checks.
  • To act as cover for the catering team within the College refectory during their break times.
  • To ensure the College is being kept clean on a daily basis in accordance with a fixed specification. The areas include classrooms, offices, kitchens, eating areas, grounds, workshops and corridors.
  • To carry out as either an individual or as a member of a team, deep cleans during holiday periods. This may include the cleaning of overheads, steelwork, light fittings, cleaning carpets and other floor surfaces, chairs/fabric finishes, walls and furnishings, using machinery and other cleaning equipment as necessary.
  • To clean the external areas of the College. This may include litter picking, leaf clearing and window cleaning.
  • To carry out first line maintenance, ie, minor repairs such as door closers/hinges, unblocking drains, minor repairs to the fabric, fixtures and fittings of the building, minor decorations etc. Minor repairs to also include routine light bulb replacements and other general maintenance duties.
