Were looking for an experienced and highly technical IT Manager to join our client, a leading food manufacturing company. You would play a key role leading local site IT operations and driving innovation across the Coventry Head Office.This is an interesting and busy role, the ideal candidate must extensive experience working in mixed systems IT environments and datacentres, with a solid understanding of enterprise-grade storage, computer, and networking technologies, with proficiency insupporting a wide range of Microsoft and VMware products.This is a permanent full-time role, site based. Flexibilityessential with occasional out of hours maintenance / system upgrade work required.----ResponsibilitiesAs a technical expert with a proven track record of success and a dedication to exceptional customer service, you will be responsible for implementing vital hardware and software systems and providing technical support. With your skills and experience, youwill be pivotal to the teams success and help lead the way in the food manufacturing industry.Key tasks will include- Elevating the businesss IT infrastructure by leading the delivery and ongoing support of a wide range of IT services- Monitoring key performance indicators and implements strategies for continuous improvement- Utilising your technical expertise to implement and maintain hardware and software systems- Coordinating with vendors and third parties to ensure timely delivery of IT services- Ensuring that documentation for IT infrastructure, security, and end-user systems is kept up-to-date in order to improve efficiency and minimise risk----Requirements- Extensive experience working in mixed systems IT environments and datacentres, with a solid understanding of enterprise-grade storage, computer, and networking technologies- Proficiency in supporting a wide range of Microsoft and VMware products, including server and desktop operating systems, exchange and network protocols, active directory and group policy infrastructure, and virtual backup solutions- Demonstrated ability to maintain and support complex VMware ESXi clusters- Strong project planning skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines and effectively handling critical service outages- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, allowing you to confidently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues- Proven success in IT management, with a strong focus on budget optimisation, resource planning, and the development of long-term strategic goal----The CompanyA world class meat producer at the forefront of the meat industry and a major UK player.
