Howarth Morris are looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a family-run multi-discipline engineering business at their head office in Chorley. In an office based role you will be working in a small tight-knit team reporting into the PurchaseLedger Supervisor with responsibility for your own portfolio of suppliers. The role would suit someone who has existing purchase ledger experience and is looking for a new challenge.Salary/Benefits- Up to £24,000 (dependent on level of experience)- Life Insurance- Healthcare- Company Pension - 4% Employer/ 5% employee- 33 days holiday including BH (includes Christmas shuts down)- Company bonus schemeKey responsibilities- Scanning and posting purchase invoices- Invoice coding to projects, costs & nominal ledgers- Match invoices with purchase orders and GRNs- Price check and obtaining authorisation- Preparation of month end payment runs for approval- Statement reconciliations- Dealing with suppliers queries, telephone and e-mail- Communication with internal department on all levels- Supporting the Accounts Manager with various ad-hoc duties when requiredCandidate requirements- Woking knowledge of spreadsheets and previous purchase ledger experience- Accurate with superb attention to detail- Ability to plan and prioritise your own work to tight deadlines- Excellent English, written and oral communication skills- Ability to interpret information and produce reports- Problem Solving- Discretion and confidentiality - Excellent IT skills intermediate level in MS Word and MS Excel - Exemplary planning and time management skills- Highly organised and conscientiousThis is an attractive opportunity with a welcoming, stable business who have an excellent record in staff retention and great benefits.Previous purchase ledger experience is essential.To be considered please apply!
