Job Description

Salary: Meets Minimum WageHours of work: 36.25 hours per week (between 8am and 6pm Monday to Sunday)Location: Leyland and Adlington (Drivers required)Due to our continued success and development, we are recruiting for Catering Assistants to join our food based enterprises.Here at The Brothers of Charity Services England we believe in putting our clients at the heart of all we do. Not only do we support our clients, we also support our staff through excellent training, career progression opportunities and additional staff benefits.The food based enterprises are numerous and varied, with exciting and innovative plans to grow our existing teams, to provide opportunities for people with learning disabilities and other vulnerable people to develop catering and hospitality skills as well as improving self-esteem and social skills. This role requires people who would thoroughly enjoy working as part of the food retail team whilst at the same time working alongside people who are supporting adults with learning disabilities.The role of a Catering Assistant will directly support us in delivering the highest levels of quality led and compassionate care, enabling positive life choices for those we are privileged to support.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Previous experience in catering and working with kitchen equipment
  • Experience of stock control and ordering processes and able to maintain accurate records
  • Knowledge/awareness of the importance of health and safety regulations
  • Must be able to work flexibly across organisation as required
  • Experience of working with Adults with Learning Disabilities desired but not essential
