Job Description

Senior Finance ManagerAn opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Manager to work for a Global Pharmaceutical company. Location: Surrey WFH currently Rate: 400 - 500 dependant on experience Duration: 6 months Role Summary: Reporting to the EMEA Trading Lead, they will have the following responsibilities:Conduct financial/management accounting, JSOX compliance, logistics, and process duties for activities around the sale of entity products to EMEA affiliates and 3rd party distributorsProvide commercial oversight to ensure appropriate governance and that transactions flow in accordance with APIs Tax & Transfer Pricing strategy and with EU tax legislationWork collaboratively across functions (including Other Group Trading & IP Holder Companies, API Finance, API Tax, European Tax, EUTD, Commercial Finance, EMEA Business Services)Operate as an effective Finance Business Partner to internal and external stakeholders, collaborating to make effective decisions, and adding business value where possible Interact with process owners and oversee transactional activities as executed by Finance teamsInfluence trading strategy across various trading entities and affiliatesProvide support to decision-making around trading strategy and provide insight through partnering with other entities and affiliates.Embed Compliance Culture across all Regions of the business ensuring Integrity in Action is actively applied in all initiatives. Ensure the appropriate skills and competencies are demonstrated in the team whilst providing the support and coaching to ensure the team overall is consistently achieving their objectivesManage the preparation and submission of budget and forecast requests for European and HQ Manage the Intercompany and Third Party Royalty Income and Expense reporting, be responsible for maintaining the integrity of complex Royalty Income & Royalty Expense calculationsManage inventory reporting for entity Trading, ensuring all financial inventory movements can be explained and properly verifiedManage all recharges flowing in and out of group companies and ensure that all recharges are posted, explainable and properly verified. Also be responsible for direct reporting and preparing the analysis of various Recharge related accounts in the Balance Sheet and P&L (i.e. R&D Expenses, Product Maintenance, Global Phase 3b/4, Market Research, IGS, Legal Fees, Management Fees and Marketing Recharges etc.)Responsible for accounting and reporting of significant non-routine transactions, including that related to product portfolio accounting and divestitures. Manage the intangible fixed asset reporting of entity Trading. Experience Required: Post graduate accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA) Demonstrable sustained finance experience within Finance functions Demonstrable people management skills including performance monitoring and development Sound commercial awareness and ability to contribute to the success and development of the finance function and business in generalAudit experience preferableMust have experience of working across multiple sites and localitiesPharma sector experience with strong customer focus; in multi-disciplinary, matrix and cross-cultural settings.
