Job Description

NOW Careers are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join the HR team of our Consultancy Business Client in Abercynon.The role is full time, working from the office with salary depending on experience - up to £35,000paAs a HR/ Employment Law Advisor you will:

  • Provide clients with timely comprehensive advice on all employee relation matters, verbally and in writing.
  • Advising on all areas of employment law such as unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, etc.
  • Effectively manage cases of people related issues such as: disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management, redundancy, recruitment, long term sickness, dismissals.
  • Generate of HR letters and advise on procedures to clients based on their queries.
  • Support on formal disciplinary/grievance hearings, draft letters, take minutes and undertake hearings where appropriate.
  • Attend clients premises to provide on-site support, building a relationship with clients and providing appropriate advice to their individual needs as a Company.
  • Compile Terms and Conditions of Employment and supporting policies.
  • Developing effective relationships with our clients to promote good employee relations across the organisation.
  • Plan and deliver training when required.
The required skills, qualifications and experience:
  • CIPD Level 5 or Law Degree (or Equivalent)
  • Initiative and enthusiasm
  • Reliability and adaptability
  • The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Sound communication skills
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Sound IT skills
  • Ability to apply Employment Law knowledge to advice
The successful candidate must also have a full and clean driving licence and their own vehicle.
