THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 10 MONTHS DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE. This is a vital time for the Cwm Taf Morgannwg region as the Health Board and local authorities work together with Public Health Wales and Welsh Government to respond to and manage the COVID19 pandemic. This post is a pivotal role to communicate and engage with our staff and communities about the Test, Trace, Protect work taking place to respond to COVID19 and the actions people need to take to manage and reduce the spread of the virus.The post-holder will play a critical role in communicating and engaging with staff, stakeholders and communities to ensure they are aware of the individual actions which need to be taken to reduce and manage the spread of COVID19. These include measures such as social distancing and good hand hygiene, being tested if they develop symptoms of COVID19, contact tracing and the requirements around self-isolation should they test positive for COVID, be contacted as part of contact tracing or risk being exposed to COVID through travel to a high-risk area.As part of the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Regional Test Trace and Protect (TTP) response, the post-holder will be a key member of the multiagency Risk Communication and Community Engagement work stream. This will involve working in close collaboration with the Health Board, local public health team, local authorities, Public Health Wales and wider partners to lead in the development, implementation and evaluation of robust communications and engagement plans to ensure they are tailored to the varied needs of CTM communities and are put in place in an effective and timely manner.The post-holder will:· support engagement with staff, patients, the public and stakeholders and help the TTP programme to respond to feedback to tailor future engagement approaches.· respond to media enquiries and prepare and write press releases and responses if required. They will be confident in briefing journalists about upcoming issues and organising media interviews. They will be comfortable briefing staff and supporting them with media interviews and will be on hand to provide communications and media advice to staff at all levels, as and when required.· be responsible for writing, proofing, editing and co-ordinating material including leaflets, briefings, social media posts, evaluation reports and media releases for a range of stakeholders, including staff, partners, communities, political stakeholders and the media.· be required to deliver the Test, Trace, Protect communication campaign work and promote the key objectives of the Health Board and local authorities, providing the TTP programme with advice on how to reach a range of groups across our communities, including hard to reach groups. An awareness of various behavioural change approaches and experience of targeted communications, confident media management, political awareness and stakeholder relationship building and management will be vital.
