Job Description

An exciting position has become available for a full time HGV Trailer Fitter to join a friendly team based in Newport, Gwent.This role would be suitable for an experienced candidate looking to progress and increase their knowledge within the industry.The successful candidate will have experience of working on HGV Trailers as a Technician, mechanic or Fitter and experience of servicing, safety checks, MOT preparation and a good all-round knowledge, experience and understanding of HGV Trailers.Role Requirements

  • Time served HGV or HGV Trailer Technician, Mechanic or Fitter.
  • NVQ / City & Guilds 1,2 & 3 Certificates or equivalent qualifications & experience
  • Technical background /experience in HGV Trailer repairs
  • Experience of Servicing, Safety Checks and MOT Preparation
  • High level of enthusiasm & good communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Lives within a commutable distance
    • Duties to Include:
  • The repair of all makes of trailers to DVSA and Industry standards
  • Service and repair trailers as instructed.
  • Maintain Workshop Equipment
  • Assist in the upkeep of the Trailer Workshop Stores
  • Carry out Trailer repairs from the Repair Vans
  • Complete all paperwork required on a daily basis
  • Work within Safe Working Practices and Procedures
  • Carry out any other role or task that is commensurate with the spirit and purpose of this job description.
