Job Description

Credit Controller / Finance AssistantOur client currently has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Credit Controller / Finance Assistant. Reporting directly to the Plant Accountant, the candidate will become an integral member of the Accounts Team in Abercarn.Main Purpose of Job

  • Complete month end duties and ensure all uploads to Igrafx are complete by working day 5 in relation to sales ledger
  • Complete maintenance of Sales Ledger, accurate recording of cash receipts & petty cash
  • Complete credit control in line with company guidelines to ensure prompt payment from customers and minimum bad debt
  • Control of Purchase Ledger queries/Goods Receipting SAP POs
  • To prepare ad hoc financial reports and investigations
  • To provide assistance to the Plant Accountant & Financial Controller
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Ideally would have experience in a similar role but would consider candidates looking for their first position in a Finance Department with ambition to learn
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Confident and diplomatic when dealing with external stake holders
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Flexible about working hours in order to meet the needs of the business
  • Accounting Qualification advantageous although study support will be provided for further development
