Job Description

These achievements demonstrate my clients continuous dedication to delivering excellent projects that enhance the environment,so our world is fit for future generations.In 2022 more than ever, the Sustainability agenda becomes pivotal to the construction industry, and will significantly impact activities from supply chains to the projects delivered for clients.The successful candidate will join a newly created team of passionate and motivated individuals who relentlessly pursue a better and more sustainable approach to the built environment.On offer* £55,000 Base salary* £450 a month car allowance* 26 days annual leave + BH* pension (8% employer contributions)* AXA private medical insurance* life assurance (4x annual salary)Job Purpose* Drive and deliver strategy across all the group operations* Advise, monitor and guide project teams in order to develop and deliver projects compliant with all relevant sustainability requirements in the most cost-effective way and in line with the companies policies Accountabilities & Key Tasks* Drive the Sustainability Strategies throughout the business at all stages of our projects including:* Support to bids* Production and implementation of the sustainability vision* Risk and Opportunities analysis* Facilitating management of Sustainability Consultants* Project monitoring and advising* Data collection/KPI* Managing sustainability assessments (BREEAM, CfSH, WELL, HQM, Passivhaus, Fitwell, etc.)* Deliver appropriate sustainability training to all staff* Assist the Head of Sustainability in producing projects and annual sustainability reports as well as progress on carbon trajectory and communications* Support our continuous improvement stream through the creation and maintenance of corporate tools and processes, as well as Research and Development and skill transfer Essential Criteria* All round technical and sustainability knowledge on the built environment* Experience in producing and implementing sustainability strategies on projects* Proven experience leading groups of internal and external stakeholders to a tangible outcome* BREEAM and CSH or Home Quality Mark Assessor qualification, solid experience, and autonomous delivery of full certifications, including pre-assessments and interim certifications Desirable Criteria* WELL Accredited Professional qualification and/or working knowledge of other sustainability certification systems (LEED, SKA, NABERS, PassivHaus, Living Building Challenge etc)* Experience carrying whole building life-cycle assessment and working on Net Zero Carbon projects* Ability to undertake regular project KPI analysis and carry out internal reporting against ISO14001 and ISO50001* Experience on assisting with the creation of Project Environmental Management Plans & Environmental Assessments, IEMA member (Associate level or higher) If you are interested in this role, or do not have a CV to apply with, please give Charlie a call on .
