CAD / CAM ProgrammerA successful and busy Race & Classic Sports Car specialist is looking to recruit an experienced CAD / CAM Programmer to join our CAD team.Previous experience of Autodesk Inventor and Mastercam would be an advantage but not essential. The ideal candidate will be an expert in CAD and proficient at CAM Programming for 3 & 5 Axis Machining.Your role on a daily basis will be to produce solid CAD models and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor, read and interpret existing drawings and process designs through to programming our 4 & 5 Axis Haas Machines - including using our Renshaw probeto reverse engineer port shapes.The successful candidate will ideally have automotive knowledge.This role creates an excellent opportunity for the right candidate with the potential to develop and progress their future career prospects in this field as the company grows.This is a full time position working a 40 hour week with overtime available. Working hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm - Monday to Friday.A high level of IT knowledge would be an advantage.Job Specification

• Produce solid CAD models and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor
• Program our 4 & 5 Axis CNC machines from design to completion using Mastercam
• To undertake hands on engineering as and when required in order to proof run programs for the first time
• Manage our vault filing system
• Work alongside our current CAD/CAM team
• To liaise with the MD daily on a technical level

Skills

• Multi-Axis CNC programming knowledge essential
• Knowledge of 3 & 5 Axis Machining an advantage
• Previous Technical drawing and solid modelling experience essential
• Automotive knowledge & experience an advantage
• Autodesk Inventor and Mastercam knowledge an advantage but not essential
• Experience of using imperial units an advantage
• Must be ambitious and want to develop their skills and progress their career
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Flexibility to deal with changing and challenging demands
• Effective skills in planning and organising
• Effective methods to expedite the CAD office workload.
