Job Description

Estimator - Civil £75,000 - £90,000 + benefitsYorkshireOur client is a UK leading contractor who provides complex engineering solutions for multidisciplinary projects across sectors including Rail, Bridges, Power and Industrial Buildings. The company benefits from an in-house design team to work closely with clientsand deliver projects innovatively and collaboratively. As a result of their continuing success, they are looking to add talented and highly motivated Estimators to join their expanding business. As an Estimator it will be your responsibility to generate estimates based on construction schedules on multiple bespoke designs and work costings for all raw materials and finished products using billing work and dynamic pricing, for commercial clients.The successful candidate will:

  • Have sound knowledge and proven extensive experience in Estimating within a commercial setting and project cost estimating including the development, planning and delivery of capital works engineering projects in the civils sector.
  • Have strong communication ability including experience in developing good relationships with clients, stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience in managing databases of functional cost unit rates.
  • Have advanced estimating analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with an understanding of market factors, construction concepts and stakeholder expectations.
  • Be able to prioritise workload when working to deadlines
  • A positive and effective team player and leader
  • Impressive personal credentials and history of self-development in their career
