Job Description

Business Analyst - InsuranceCandidates must have the right to work and reside in the UK.We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our clients team in Yorkshire.The initial engagement would be 10-12 weeks but there is likely to be other workstreams following on from the initial engagement. There is also expected to be some flexibility to work from home as the engagement goes on.In this role, you will work on new and existing customer projects interfacing with key stakeholders. You will be involved in many different aspects of the project lifecycle giving you broader exposure and responsibility.Your responsibilities will range from running workshops, gathering, documenting and agreeing requirements, to training and assisting the customer in configuring and using the platform. You will become the principal contact point for the customers stakeholders, and you will manage and set expectations according to the projects objectives and scope.You will be expected to leverage a full set of business analysis skills, strategies and best practices in order to successfully meet the products vision and client requirements within dynamic environments.The successful candidate will have experience in Agile projects, general Insurance, Microsoft office suite, wireframing tools (e.g. axure or balsamiq) and be familiar with JIRA and Confluence.This is a unique opportunity for a talented and ambitious individual to work for an exciting disruptive company building innovative solutions using cutting-edge technologies.   • Document and own the business requirements for the projects you are responsible for.
  • Train customers and help them configure the end clients Platform.
  • Work with different teams/disciplines (QA, Devs, UX Designers and DevOps) to ensure quality and coverage by detailing the business requirements.
  • Plan and run workshops at client sites.
  • Evaluate and introduce new business analysis, techniques or toolsets.
  • Plan, manage and monitor small projects or streams within a larger project.
  • Contribute to the risk and issue management process and help maintain the relevant documentation.
  • Keeping up with the general insurance practices and regulations.
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Business Analysis roles.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • General Insurance claims and policy systems experience.
  • Formal Business Analysis qualification (ISEB/BCS Qualifications or equivalent).
  • CII Level 3 Certificate.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply business logic to design.
  • Experience and confidence in customer-facing, stakeholder management and workshop facilitation.
  • Experience in the specification of both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite (JIRA and Confluence).
  • MS Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Wireframing tools such as Axure or Balsamiq.
  • Diagramming tools such as Visio or Draw.io.
  • Previous experience of working within collaborative, cross-functional teams to deliver multiple successful projects.
  • Practical experience to Agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, both as part of the team and on own initiative.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and document requirements.
  • Articulate to and be confident with technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Resourceful, energetic and enthusiastic, prepared to go the "extra mile".
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve professional success.

  • Ability to demonstrate software in pre-sales activities.
  • Exposure to project management and a willingness to extend that skillset.
  • Exposure to SAFe and LeSS agile methodologies.
