FNOL Claims HandlerJob DescriptionPosition Overview:Under the supervision of the Frontline Services Team Leaders and Senior Handlers, review and record, First Notification of Loss Claims and other Non-Claim Incident reports. Inputting information into both in-house systems and client specific portals forthe purpose of frontline reporting.Key Responsibilities: Review and record claims on in-house and Client Portals within product standards, check policy coverage and allocate appropriate codes and reserves. Ensure all client specific questions are asked and data obtained Adhere to 100% accuracy in respect of data entry quality. Respond to all written and phone enquiries clearly, courteously and promptly. Ensure compliance with clients processes and requirements for both FNOL (First Notification of Loss) and FNOE (First Notification of Events) reports, ensuring customer satisfaction and expectations are successfully managed. Develop relationships with clients by providing a friendly, efficient service. Set clear expectations and next steps to the client When required assist with the attempted capture of Third Parties in line with the client requirements and conditions. Sell the benefits of our approved repairer network to ensure Own Damage and Third Party damage is managed by us Ensure challenges to the above and addressed and every effort is made to overcome objections to preferred process Work closely with those around you and offer support and guidance to ensure all claims run smoothly in a proactive manner Ensure you utilise soft skills and tailor your approach to the requirements of the caller Assist in general office administration (eg post, printing, order supplies, maintaining equipment) to ensure smooth running of office where required. Comply with all Gallagher Bassett and office procedures Any other duties as required by Gallagher BassettPosition Specific Requirements: Good understanding of the motor insurance industry or financial background Able to communicate effectively at all levels, bilingual skills beneficial Previous phone based customer service experience ideally gained within the insurance industry Ability to meet specific deadlines A committed and flexible approach Displays enthusiasm and commitment, willing to own problems and take responsibility for own actions, ability to think outside the box to solve problems on the spot. Good knowledge and understanding of the companys in-house claims system carat and a working knowledge of all other systems to use as part of the role Familiar with vehicle types, makes and models Good attention to detail and understanding of the importance of accurate and thorough data capture Proficient computer skills Ability to prioritise workloads Attention to detail, accuracy and effective organisational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong problem solving skills Effective time-management skills Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality Adherence to File Management best practices Self-motivated Highly adaptable and able to use initiative Proactive in all learning and development opportunities, and expected to study and obtain CII qualifications in line with the our clients L&D Policies
