Trainer / Assessor Purpose of the RoleThe purpose of the role is to deliver quality health and safety training to mainly utility industry operational staff and apprentices. Training is normally in the form of short duration courses that are delivered both at our centre in Peterborough and at customersown locations.Our ideal candidate is someone who has a proven health and safety background and occupational experience with appropriate occupational qualifications. It is preferable, but not essential that their experience is the utility or construction industry. The ideal candidate will be a good communicator and ideally have a background in training to a diverse range of people, however support can be given to the right person should this be this is lacking. They will be both professional and customer focused in theirapproach and proficient in maintaining and expanding current relationships. They will be based at our training centre in Peterborough but must be prepared to travel. They will:*Deliver high quality training programmes to a wide range of customers and learners*Build quality training packages based on learning objectives and outcomesKey Areas of Responsibility*Deliver quality learning packages against measured standards *Build quality learning packages to meet specified objectives and outcomes*Deliver best practice and standardisation of training and assessment*Liaise with Internal Quality Assurers*Strive to attain and maintain an individual utilisation of 80% Person Profile:Competencies*Coaching and facilitation skills*Organisation skills*Communication skills*Ability to develop relationships at all levels*Designing training material*Delivery and presentation skills*Assessing skills*Working as part of a team*Ability to use email, PowerPoint and Word Required experience and qualifications*Relevant health and safety qualifications*Maths and English*Full driving licence*Understanding and application of health and safety*DBS checked Desired experience and qualifications*D32/D33, or A1 or TAQA equivalent*Level 3 Training and Education or similar*Training material design and deliveryIf you do not hear back from us within 7 days, please consider your application unsuccessful on this occasion and we wish you the very best in your future career.
