Mechanical Fitter

Mechanical Fitter Bristol £14-19 phr (plus time and half overtime) In this role you will be accountable for:

You will be a team player, who can work to deadlines whilst maintaining the highest degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Dismantling and assembly of various types of Mechanical equipment
Ability to dismantle, proof mark equipment, draw sketch and/or photograph equipment to ensure accurate dismantling/identification of customer equipment
Provide support to Mechanical Supervisors to determine root cause of failure to customer equipment
Removal/Assembly and fitting of various type of bearings
Safe Use of Hydraulic Jacks and Torquing Equipment

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Experience with working with all types of medium to heavy mechanical equipment
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Recognised Mechanical apprenticeship
To occasionally work away from home at our Customers Sites, liaise with the customer whilst undertaking the job in has mostly as part of a team.
Proven experience within a mechanical workshop environment
Ensure the relevant paperwork is completed for all the daily tasks set such as Project Router documents, inspections reports, drawings when required and daily time sheets.
Working with rotating mechanical equipment, Rotalign Laser Alignment Equipment, and conventional machine tools would be advantageous
