Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Fintech - PowerShell / Azure / 365Overview:An excellent opportunity has arisen with a market leading FinTech for a highly technical, hands on Senior Infrastructure Engineer. Role and Responsibilties• Experience of global IT infrastructure, IT security and business critical application support functions• Experience of adopting technical innovations, improving efficiencies, building and motivating teams, reducing costs and helping a fast-paced business develop and grow • Cloud adoption, outsourcing offshoring, near shoring, DC consolidation, and vendor negotiations. • Cover both on premise and cloud infrastructure, desktop support, computer operations, implementation management, environment management and software releases• Carry day to day responsibility for the team which provides and manages the following technical services for the business:Active Directory VMWare ESXi & VCentre Windows Server Intune Windows clustering Office 365 cloud services Backup services Service automation Monitoring and alerting End user computing Skills and Experience • VMWare ESXi & VCentre • PowerShell scripting and automation • Storage technologies • Azure AD, Office 365 & Intune • Windows Server • Active Directory, Exchange Server, clustering and file servers • SMTP • Network routing / 802.1x / firewalling • Migrations and divesture activity for Microsoft products Personal Attributes: • Demonstrable experience of leading or being significantly involved in IT service separation. • Experience of building and leading a high functioning team. • A people person with experience of coaching, mentoring and inspiring the team to deliver success and desired outcomes. • Strong communicator, both verbal and written, and able to liaise effectively with stakeholders up to c level. • Passionate about delivering quality and innovation. • Strong analytical, problem solving and issue resolution skills. • Quality-conscious and result driven.
