The Graduate Network are looking for a Maths ECT to join a dynamic, dedicated maths department to assist with improving pupil attainment across the school.*** Maths ECT*** Permanent role, working full-time*** Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school in the Birmingham ward of Yardley*** Maths ECT position, starting September 2023*** £28,000 per annumThe Maths ECT Role:As a Maths ECT, you will be teaching Maths to pupils across the school in Key Stages 3 and 4. As a Maths ECT, you will not teach higher ability GCSE classes, however you will be expected to teach Foundation GCSE, as well as delivering Maths lessons to pupilsin Key Stage 3 following the national curriculum. You will be responsible for planning, marking and assessments, as well as tracking the progress of your students. You will be expected to engage in wider-school activities such as assemblies and trips.The Maths ECT:For this Maths ECT vacancy, you must be due to complete your PGCE this academic year, or have recently gained QTS. This role is only suitable for Maths ECTs who are looking to begin/complete their induction and will be committed to upholding the school’s valuesand principles consistently. Ideally, you will be a Maths ECT with experience working with SEN, and you should be able to demonstrate strong behaviour management skills, as well as a good ability to build a rapport with the pupils you support.The School:This large secondary school located in the Birmingham ward of Yardley is rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted and offers fantastic support for your ECT induction.
